But who wants to say or type a long word anymore? The shorter, the better, the quicker to text or email. Ap. Who likes the sound of that?!

I suppose it was going to happen. Look at how we've condensed our techie words already, I mean our technical words all ready--
Cellular phone, facsimile, personal computer, internet service provider, instant messanger... even MAC! To me, MacIntosh will forever be an Apple...
Apple. Good thing we haven't condensed that word to ap---would be SO confusing!
